For the Kids – OCTC & CHEO
'20th Annual "For the Kids" Charitable Auction for OCTC at CHEO.
Caitlin and I were very proud to be asked to be the Official Photographers for the '20th Annual "For the Kids" Charitable Auction'. The generous crowd of 450 families, supporters and business sponsors raised over $117,000 dollars for the Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre at CHEO. Two parents shared their stories of how OCTC has helped them when it was most needed. Many other families were in attendance with their kids. A giant Canadian Flag mixed media piece of art donated by Sarah Moffat was donated to the live auction and was won for $8000 by Mark Goudie, chief operating officer and CFO for OSEG (Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group) after a rather exciting bidding war he refused to back down from with J.F. Sabourin, owner of the environmental consulting firm J.F. Sabourin and Associates, and his wife, Kathy Kitagawa. You'll be seeing this piece of art at Lansdowne Park stadium during Canada’s 150th anniversary and during the 2017 Grey Cup in November!
